Bollywood has witnessed a major trend of remakes for a while now. Not just the filmmakers are seen buying the rights of big hits across languages, there has been a trend of remaking iconic numbers as well. Be it the remake of Tip Tip Barsa to Nadiyon Paar, these tracks went on to become popular on social media platforms. Today, we bring you the list of the top 10 popular remake songs that created a lot of buzz.

Aankh Marey: The original song is a part of Arshad Warsi’s debut movie Tere Mere Sapne. Aankh Marey was remade in a recent Bollywood romantic-action film Simmba featuring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles. The energetic track has witnessed stellar performances from the stars. The remix of the song was a new fresh version, but the vibe and feel were the same as the original.

Hawa Hawai: The iconic song Hawa Hawai from Mr. India (1987) featuring Sridevi was remade for Tumhari Sulu as Hawa Hawai 2.0 featuring Vidya Balan, Neha Dhupia, and RJ Malishka. Kavita Krishnamurthy’s unmistakable vocals were retained in this recreated and reprogrammed new version. The song hit the chords with the audience instantly and became an instant hit.

OLE OLE 2.0: Ole-ole song was released in 1994 in the movie Yeh Dillagi, and it starred Saif Ali Khan and Kajol. This song was remade in 2020, and it starred Saif Ali Khan and Tabu. It was in the movie Jawaani Janeman. Both the songs were good in their lyrics and beats and were loved by people. The song was considered as one of the best remixes which reminds everyone of the iconic and evergreen song of the ’90s and its hook step too.

Tip Tip Barsa Paani: If you are a 90’s kid then you might remember Raveena Tandon’s stunning performance in the song Tip Tip Barsa Pani from the 1994 release Mohra. It is considered to be one of the most talked-about tracks from the 90s. Interestingly, the song recently witnessed a remake for Akshay Kumar’s cop drama Sooryavanshi. And this time, it was Katrina Kaif getting into Raveena’s shoes and she did a great job.

Nadiyon Paar: This groovy number from Janhvi Kapoor starrer Roohi which got the nation shaking a leg on its music is also a remake. For the uninitiated, the song was a remake of the popular Punjabi number of the same name by Shamur.

Aila Re Aila: Akshay Kumar’s cop drama Sooryavanshi had one more recreated song which happens to be Aila Re Aila. To note, the song happens to be a remake of Aila Re Aila featuring Akshay Kumar from his 2010 release Khatta Meetha. Interestingly, both the songs were sung by Daler Mehendi.

Tamma Tamma Again: The original song Tamma Tamma from the movie Thanedaar – 1990, starring Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt was the most popular track of the year. In the remake song Tamma Tamma again, the original essence was kept alive by just adding a heart racing beat and additional rap to match the tempo. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan did justice to the song and it became the most played song at the parties.

Saki Saki: Nora Fatehi is a new preferred dancing sensation and her dance Chartbusters are making the world go weak on their feet. The Saki remix from the movie Batla House became the popular dance anthem of the year 2019. The original song featured Koena Mitra, which also gave her stardom overnight. Original as well as the remake version are amazing but watching Nora Fatehi dance on this peppy number is a delight.

Bachna Ae Haseeno: This song was a super hit from the 1977 Hindi musical drama film Hum Kisise Kum Naheen. This popular song featured Rishi Kapoor. Many years later, this song was remade for the Ranbir Kapoor starrer movie by the same name. Bachna Ae Haseeno track picturized Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

Dilbar: Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen drove fans crazy with her epic dance moves in the Dilbar song. A remake of this song was made for John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate. The new Dilbar featured Nora Fatehi, who did not disappoint the audience with her crisp dance steps with a tinge of Arabic twists.
