According to early trade estimates, Tron: Ares collected around $0.75 million (₹6.2 crore) worldwide on Day 20, marking another notable dip in its third weekend. This brings the film’s total global collection to approximately $126.15 million (₹1,043 crore). While it has managed to cross the $125 million mark, the overall trend continues to decline steadily, with limited audience retention across key markets.
In North America, the film’s domestic total stands at around $64.7 million, while international markets have contributed roughly $61.45 million. Most overseas territories, including the UK, Australia, and parts of Asia, have experienced declining occupancy, particularly in non-premium formats.
Despite its visual brilliance, Tron: Ares has struggled to maintain interest due to its lack of narrative depth and emotional engagement. While audiences have praised the film’s spectacular production design, stunning CGI environments, and immersive soundscapes, critics have pointed out that its story feels hollow and disconnected — an issue that has led to weak repeat viewership.
With a reported production budget exceeding $300 million, Tron: Ares faces a significant challenge to achieve profitability. Industry analysts now expect the film’s lifetime gross to settle between $145–150 million (₹1,150–1,250 crore) globally, which would still leave it far short of recouping its massive investment.
As Tron: Ares moves further into its third week, it stands as a reminder that even the most visually ambitious films require emotional depth and compelling storytelling to sustain at the box office. While its technical achievements are undeniable, the film’s diminishing earnings highlight the growing importance of substance over spectacle in modern cinema.
