The much-anticipated romantic comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde, has been officially rescheduled to hit theatres on June 12, 2026. The makers, Tips Films, opted to push the release by a week from its previously announced June 5 date to avoid a direct box-office face-off with Kannada superstar Yash’s action thriller, Toxic, which is slated for a June 4 release.
David Dhawan directs this film, marking the third father-son collaboration between him and Varun Dhawan, following their successful work on Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. The film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai features Mouni Roy, Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill and Chunkey Panday in important roles, produced by Ramesh Taurani through his Tips Films company.
The project has already experienced two complete changes to its scheduled release date. The schedule started with an April 10 2026, launch, later postponed to June 5, before finally moving to June 12. The producers chose this strategic approach because they wanted to maximise the film’s box-office success while maintaining continuous theatrical distribution and avoiding conflicts with major film releases.
The upcoming movie Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is creating excitement among fans and industry experts because it features a talented cast, a skilled director, and an appealing story. The film is expected to become a popular summer movie for audiences who are looking forward to its release in theatres this June.
