Medical Details Surrounding His Final Hours
Earlier in the day, Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, Goa, told news agency ANI about the actor’s tragic medical timeline.
According to medical records, Patekar had texted a close friend at approximately 2:30 AM, indicating that he felt severely unwell. Because of the late hour, the notification went unnoticed for a brief window. The friend rushed to the flat around 4:00 AM, finding the actor unconscious and sweating profusely.
A medical team arrived shortly after via ambulance, immediately initiating cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). After he was brought to the hospital, doctors aggressively performed cardiac massages for roughly 45 minutes to an hour, but they were unable to revive him. The iconic actor was officially pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital at 5:20 AM.
