A report this week in the Tamil/Telugu media claims the new untitled Vijay Deverakonda starrer co-starring the saleable Sreeleela is in trouble as the in-demand actress had quit the film.
This writer decided to get the truth from the film’s director Gowtam Tinnanuri. He messaged back saying, “This is wrong news, Sir. We haven’t started filming yet. It is likely to start in January.”
Praising Sreeleela Gowtam who directed Jersey with Nani in Tamil and Shahid Kapoor in Hindi, says, “She is a very good actress and dancer.”
I also have the film’s plot for the first time from the director: “This movie is a period action drama. It’s about a cop who infiltrates into a gang. It is about this cop’s ethical drama about his actions.”
Vijay Deverakonda has lately been going through a lean phase in his career. His last two films Liger and Kushi underperformed at the boxoffice.
