Will The Avatar Tsunami Mow Down Cirkus?

Know the latest about Avatar 2 and Cirkus and what's possibly set to happen to these movies in terms of box office

Rohit Shetty and boxoffice bonanzas go hand in hand. Even during the pandemic crisis, Shetty delivered a roaring hit like Sooryavanshi which, to set the record straight, was Akshay Kumar’s last hit followed by several flops.

With Cirkus Ranveer Singh whose last release Jayeshbhai Jordaar showed embarrassing numbers at the boxoffice, hopes to regain his foothold at the top.

Cirkus, a clandestine remake of Gulzar’s Angoor seems to contain all the fun ingredients for the festive week when it opens on December 23. But there is a villain in the show. James Cameron’s Avatar : The Way Of the Water has caught on like a wildfire . While the 2D version is not so popular, the 3D version especially in Hindi is a rage across the country.

Sources reveal that the producers of Cirkus had not foreseen such a huge craze for the Avatar sequel.

“It is beyond anything we expected and sure to affect Cirkus very badly,” says Roshan Singh, a leading exhibitor from Bihar.
