In 7 Khoon Maaf, Priyanka Chopra portrays Susanna Anna-Marie Johannes, an Anglo-Indian woman who murders all six of her husbands. Susanna dons a burqa and a hijab for her third spouse, Wasiullah Khan (played by Irrfan Khan).

Konkona Sen Sharma is among the few actresses who can transform into any character. In the 2016 film ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha,’ Sen Sharma gave an outstanding performance. Her performance in this film was praised by the crowd despite her wearing a burqa.
