We didn’t get much of a chance to commemorate any festivals or special occasions in 2020. In comparison to last year, this year did a little better in that regard. From weddings to red carpet events to movie premieres, we were almost back to normal. Our B-town divas also had the opportunity to promote their films, visit festivals, and attend weddings dressed to the nines. An exquisite saree has been the go-to choice of attire for many of our divas. So, without further ado, here are all of the greatest saree looks we’ve seen this year.

Katrina Kaif

When it comes to ethnic aesthetics, Katrina has made it obvious that Sabyasachi is her go-to designer this year. Kaif didn’t disappoint, wearing a sheer burnt orange saree to promote Sooryavanshi. She wore it with a plunging full-sleeve blouse with heavy sequin embellishment and flowery sleeves. She wore a sheer tulle saree by the same designer for her pre-wedding shoot with Vicky Kaushal.

Ananya Panday

Ananya wore a lovely chiffon and organza saree from designer Ridhi Mehra’s Lakme Fashion Week collection, which she borrowed from her shelves. The Fuschia saree was as gorgeous as ever, with frills on the dupatta, borders, and pleats. The saree was paired with a sleeveless embroidered blouse with gotta Patti work, beads, and sequins. The back of the backless blouse included a tie detail. She wore gold drop earrings, bracelets, and a ring as accessories.

Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty opted for a colorful sequin saree by designer Akanksha Gajria, giving us a taste of glitz and glam. Her sequin saree had a zig-zag pattern in mauve and green colors. Her dazzling saree was paired with a contrasting pink sleeveless blouse. Shilpa looked like an absolute dream as she completed the look with a diamond choker and bracelet.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika wore a Faraz Manan embroidered cream saree with a blouse that complimented the drape. It had a scalloped hem and swept the floor. She wore a pastel-hued pleated saree by designer Payal Khandwala made of organza material for her appearance on KBC 13. The costume featured powder pink and pastel green hues, as well as a high-neck yellow top to finish it off.

Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi stole the show in a Raw Mango ensemble from the SS 2021 collection. A sheer organza all-over rose printed saree was paired with a white tank top style cropped shirt for a look that was both elegant and modern. The blouse had a scalloped neckline, and the drape clung to her shoulder and cascaded down her hand.

Kiara Advani

During the advertising events, Kiara donned a saree several times. This eye-catching fuchsia pink saree by Punit Balana, however, stood out. Delicate Resham and dabka embroidery in pink and green, as well as beaded tassels on the border, decorated the silken drape. She fitted it with a deep-necked strappy top in a matching color. An uncut diamond necklace, a diamond ring, and a little bindi finished Kiara’s costume.
