Janhvi Kapoor made a special impression in her first debut on the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival 2025. Janhvi attended the premiere of ‘Homebound’ in a blush pink Banarasi outfit designed by Tarun Tahiliani. The outfit was made from authentic tissue fabric from Banaras, using a special ‘hand crushing technique’, which gave both lightness and texture to the fabric.
Janhvi was styled by Rhea Kapoor, with a sleek low bun, winged eyeliner, light pink makeup and layered pearl necklaces enhancing her look. The flowing drape from the shoulder and the trail of the skirt at the back gave a simple yet elegant touch to her outfit.
The debut was not just a fashion moment but also a glimpse of her mother Sridevi’s era, especially her simplicity and classic style.

Her co-stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa were spotted with director Neeraj Ghaywan at the launch of the film ‘Homebound’. Ishaan was seen in a maroon velvet jacket by Gaurav Gupta and was also caught on camera holding Janhvi’s dress at one point. Janhvi’s family and close friends, Shikhar Pahariya, Khushi Kapoor and Orry, also joined her on the occasion.
