Despite releasing alongside the much-awaited Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 30, Bhai Tera Star Hai is gearing up for a wide theatrical release across nearly 900–1,000 screens in India.
Speaking about the decision, producer-director Vivek B Agarwal said, “There was no other viable weekend until February 2027-end.” He explained that the release calendar for the coming months is packed with major Bollywood and pan-India titles, leaving little room for an independent film to secure a meaningful theatrical window.
Agarwal also noted that after Dhamaal 4, there isn’t another major Hindi release until mid-August, making the current release date the most practical choice despite the Hollywood competition. He said, “It was either a choice of clashing with a big Hindi film or releasing alongside Spider-Man. Hence, this was the only viable option. I felt that since there was no Hindi film releasing for nearly a month, I’d rather release my film in the middle of this dry period and attract audiences who might prefer watching a Hindi film over an English one.”
Distributed by PVR Inox Pictures, Bhai Tera Star Hai is aiming for a release on close to 1,000 screens nationwide. Agarwal expressed confidence that audiences continue to support entertaining theatrical experiences, adding that the positive response to the film’s trailer and songs has further strengthened the team’s belief in the project.
He also highlighted that the makers, along with lead actor Raghav Juyal, were committed to ensuring the film reaches theatres and have backed it with an extensive promotional campaign, including city tours and fan engagements across the country.
Sharing his thoughts on the current theatrical landscape, Agarwal believes audiences are ready for a light-hearted entertainer, especially at a time when darker and more intense narratives have become increasingly common across streaming platforms.
