Amazon MGM Studios India has ignited excitement with its theatrical release, Nishaanchi. Blending action, drama, and comedy in equal measure, film is a gripping, high-octane ride packed with adrenaline-fueled sequences and sharp humor. While audiences and critics are praising various elements of the film, it is also Monika Panwar’s character that is receiving love.
Monika Panwar plays Aaishvary’s mother in Nishaanchi. As audiences shower immense appreciation on her performance, she says she feels amazing. Talking about her character, Monika said, “I’m honestly so excited about the incredible response Nishaanchi is receiving and how deeply people are connecting with Manjari. Reading reviews that say I ‘steal the show’ still feels surreal, because when I first imagined her, I saw her as the soul of so many women out there. For me, it felt a bit like a Mother India moment—where the mother’s presence leaves a lasting impression.”
She further added, “I’ve always been drawn to roles that stand out, characters who have their own rhythm, even if the story around them keeps moving. For Manjari, it was never about how much screen time she gets; it’s about the weight she carries every time she steps in. She represents that quiet strength, sacrifice, and resilience we see in so many households, especially from our mothers and housewives.”
“Knowing her journey, the silence, the defiance, her voice, has really connected with people is such a fulfilling feeling.” She concluded.
Moreover, Nishaanchi marks the powerful acting debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, who will be seen in a high-octane double role, starring alongside Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra in pivotal roles.
Produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under the banner of Jar Pictures, in association with Flip Films, Nishaanchi is directed by Anurag Kashyap and written by Prasoon Mishra, Ranjan Chandel, and Anurag Kashyap.
Get ready for bullets, betrayal, and brotherhood as Nishaanchi is in theatres now.
