Main Vaapas Aaunga has been receiving an overwhelming response ever since its theatrical release, with audiences showering immense love and appreciation on the film and its music. The songs have beautifully captured the emotions of the story, striking a deep chord with listeners through their soulful melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and timeless appeal. The makers have now unveiled the film’s complete music album.

Known for creating some of Indian cinema’s most memorable soundtracks, Imtiaz Ali once again brings together music and storytelling in a way that deeply resonates with audiences. Over the past few weeks, songs like Kya Kamaal Hai, Maskara, and Ishq Mastana have won immense love from audiences across the country. The tracks have resonated strongly with listeners, receiving an overwhelming response across streaming platforms and social media while building excitement for the film.
The newly unveiled album offers a rich and diverse musical experience that beautifully complements the emotional world of Main Vaapas Aaunga. Blending themes of love, longing, hope, and homecoming, the soundtrack captures the many emotions that lie at the heart of the film’s story.

The complete album also introduces Dheere Dheere, sung by Faheem Abdullah, Shilpa Rao, Antra Nandy, and Heer; Tere Paas Main, presented in both female and male versions by Deepali Sahay and Vipin Aneja respectively; and Dariya, sung by Armaan Khan & Romy. Together, these songs add new layers to the album, creating an emotionally rich musical journey that perfectly reflects the soul of Main Vaapas Aaunga.

Talking about the album, A.R. Rahman said, “There are certain stories where music becomes the language of the unspoken. It expresses what cannot be explained and reveals what cannot always be shown. In Main Vaapas Aaunga, the songs and score have been an attempt to listen to the silence within the story and give it a voice. I hope people find a part of themselves in this music.”

Sharing his thoughts on the album, Imtiaz Ali said, “Music was always going to be exciting in Main Vaapas Aaunga. First of all, music is the heart of Panjab and Panjab in 1947 had folk as well as Western influences that we were very excited to showcase. That is seen in songs like Ishq Mastana and Maskara. Music is the heart of Panjab, which is the heart of Main Vaapas Aaunga. I have seen A. R. Rahman and Irshad in new form in this film where they have worked with greater excitement and gone deeper in the exploration of musical gems. I’m very excited at the prospect of this album going out to listeners. I hope they love these songs as much as we loved making them. Also this album marks the beginning of many new singers – Deepali, Heer, Antara, Adithya, and Vipin. We are very proud that we could carry the energy of these wonderful new singers. I hope that the listeners show them their love.”

Bringing together romance, nostalgia, longing, and hope, the soundtrack perfectly complements the film’s emotional narrative. Each song adds a new dimension to Imtiaz Ali’s storytelling, making the music an integral part of the Main Vaapas Aaunga experience while further building excitement for the film’s release.

Main Vaapas Aaunga is set in Imtiaz Ali’s dreamy world of love and longing, starring Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari, and Vedang Raina in pivotal roles.
