Rocking Star Yash is aiming to take Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups far beyond traditional borders. While the film remains deeply rooted in Indian emotions and culture, the actor recently revealed in an interview with Variety that the team consciously designed the project to connect with audiences worldwide. Speaking about the film’s global ambition, Yash shared that Toxic was simultaneously shot in English and Kannada so international audiences could experience the story without language becoming a barrier.

Speaking about the decision, Yash explained how the team wanted the film to feel universal in its storytelling while still retaining its emotional authenticity. “Globally, people are waiting to see great cinema — it doesn’t matter where it comes from. We wanted Toxic to be treated like a global film while still being rooted in Indian emotions and culture. That’s why we shot it in English simultaneously, so audiences across the world can experience it organically without subtitles feeling like a barrier. But the focus was always to make the performances feel natural and authentic, not staged. As a craft and filmmaking process, Toxic is truly international.”

The revelation has further heightened curiosity around Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which is already being seen as one of the most ambitious Indian films currently in production. With Geetu Mohandas directing, the film promises a blend of rooted emotions and international-scale storytelling.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups stars Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. The film is being shot in Kannada and English, and will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the project is positioned as a large-scale international action drama.
