Ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026, the team of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups brought the excitement to Hyderabad with a grand pre-release event held at the Malla Reddy University Grounds on August 22. The mega event witnessed a massive turnout of over 45,000 fans, who gathered to celebrate Rocking Star Yash and the highly anticipated film.
The evening saw Rocking Star Yash take centre stage alongside Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair, as the cast and team celebrated one of the year’s most anticipated theatrical releases. The event also witnessed the presence of key members of the film’s team, including producer Venkat K. Narayana and producer Dil Raju.
With thousands of fans turning up to catch a glimpse of Yash and the team, the atmosphere was filled with celebration and anticipation as Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups gears up for its arrival in cinemas worldwide.



Speaking at the event, Yash expressed his gratitude to Telugu audiences for the immense love they have shown him since KGF. Reflecting on the connection between audiences across languages, he said, “ There are no boundaries, no barriers, no politics. Beyond language, beyond borders, there is humanity, there is love, there is honesty.”
Yash further highlighted the growing strength of Indian cinema, saying, “ With all of us together, now we are Indian cinema. And very soon, we all have to position and mark Indian cinema on the global map.” Addressing the students gathered at the event, he also encouraged them to dream big, work hard and take responsibility for their own journeys.
Kiara Advani, who shares a special connection with Hyderabad, spoke about the love she has received from Telugu audiences. Recalling her first Telugu film, Bharat Ane Nenu, she said, “ There’s no audience love like the Telugu audience love. So, thank you so much! Toxic is not just a Kannada film. It’s not just an English film. It is as much a Telugu film, a Tamil film, a Malayalam film, a Hindi film, because this is an Indian film.” She also invited audiences to experience the film in theatres on August 26, promising that they would now get to see “the soul of our film. ”
Rukmini Vasanth also thanked the students of Malla Reddy University for their incredible energy and the love they extended to the team. Reflecting on her experience working with the cast and crew, she said, “ Rocking Star Yash, sir, it’s been a joy working with you, sir. A real bucket list moment .”
Huma Qureshi expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming reception in Hyderabad and reflected on her journey with the film. Speaking about director Geetu Mohandas, she said, “ When she first approached me for this part, I did not know at that moment that I was going to be part of history. Praising Yash and his vision for the film, Huma added, “Thank you for making this film and thank you for really having the vision and the guts to be changing cinema for everyone .”
