The actress made her debut as an actor with the movie Shuddh Desi Romance. However, the actress’s screen test wasn’t very usually happening. The actress opened up about the same during an interview with Filmfare, where she narrated that how the casting director of YRF told her to stay back, when she was about to go back to Delhi and audition. She said, that they would visit restaurants and salons, and she used to get asked to perform something with spontaneity. She found it initially very bizarre. She added, “But I told myself if I couldn’t do it in front of a random crowd, I wouldn’t be able to do it on screen. I grew confident. It helped me get rid of my inhibitions. Those tapes went to director Maneesh Sharma and Aditya Chopra. They liked them and I was on board!”

Vaani Kapoor was overweight before she signed her first modelling assignment

Before signing her first modelling assignment, Vaani Kapoor was plump and overweight. However, she worked hard, and went into strict diet regime. She said, “Trust me modelling helps you pay your bills.”

Vaani’s childhood was slated in a farmhouse

The actress revealed that it was almost like a mini zoo. Her friends were ducks, dogs, monkeys, horses and others. She said, “It was like a mini zoo. My only friends were ducks, dogs, monkeys, horses, rabbits… We had more than 70 dogs and numerous cats on our farm. I had a fetish for puppies so I’d even pick them up from a gutter and bring them home.”

Vaani Kapoor holds her bachelors in Tourism

Vaani Kapoor studied from the Indira Gandhi National Open University. The actress hold a bachelors’ degree in Tourism studies. The actress also revealed that she always had a protective childhood and was only allowed to go outside during her internships.
