Karan Johar is one of the most popular star filmmakers. The Dharma Productions owner recently referred to Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as 90’s Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s iconic pair. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are considered one of the most iconic #jodis in Bollywood.
However, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt worked together earlier in Gully Boy in 2019. Shah Rukh and Kajol are one of the popular pairings in B-town. The duo has done tons of films together, including Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Baazigar, My Name Is Khan, and several others.
Karan, who gave the iconic dialogue ‘Pyar Dosti Hai’ in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, compared Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh to Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, Karan said, “When Ranveer and Alia face the camera, you will see that chemistry because they’re buddies, they’re friends. That friendship results in chemistry.”
Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, the film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani also casts veteran actors Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi. The film is all set to release on 11 February 2023.
Karan also said, “I’ve had the best time working with both the talented gentlemen.” Also, “I’ve been accused of being partial to her. I’ve been accused of always looking out for her. But I feel that with such incredible talent like that, I feel privileged.”
