According to aceshowbiz.com, the Game of Thrones actress underwent life-saving surgery after suffering two brain aneurysms in 2011 and 2013. Emilia Clarke considers herself fortunate to be able to grow old and hopes to be able to enjoy the aging process naturally following her near-death experiences. “The good moments and being happy is what you’re going to see on your deathbed,” Emilia Clarke told People magazine. “You’ll have no recollection of the times you snapped that adorable selfie. I was putting all of that into how I looked after the operation because I was so terrified and under-confident,” she continued.
“As I grew older, I realized that people are most attractive when they are not thinking about or considering their own beauty.” The actress also stated that “growing older is a given,” thus she is unconcerned about her age. “When I had my brain hemorrhages, I didn’t have a carpe diem ‘seize the moment’ situation,” Emilia Clarke stated. “It didn’t happen for me,” she continued. “Ironically, I’ve developed a fear of death. What the f**k is the matter with becoming older? What are the two fundamental realities of life? Death and taxes. It’s happening right now. Growing older is unavoidable. I believe that the most beautiful women are those who do not appear to be younger.” The 34-year-old actress isn’t a fan of cosmetic operations to help her maintain her youthful appearance, citing “ridiculous beauty standards” as her reason.
“The idea of me placing my face in someone else’s hands with a knife, no, no, never,” Emilia stated emphatically. “Don’t come at me with that,” Emilia Clarke added. “It will not take place. The first is fear, and the second is that I can’t do my work if I can’t move my face. I’m going to tell them to let themselves out if they think I require something to be acceptable to society’s stupid beauty standards.” “I’m not confident in my appearance, but I’m capable of telling someone who has an opinion on my appearance that I’m not interested in hearing it.”
