The Madhur Bhandarkar directorial, Fashion, has been one of the super hits, ideally based on the lives of models, the film came out grand with time. Starring Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Arbaaz Khan and more, the film not just had a great script but stellar actors to make it even more powerful.
Speaking of that, Kangana Ranaut recently opened up on working with Priyanka Chopra and other actors in the film. She said, “I was 19 or 20, I was very young. So I was once telling my friends that when Priyanka used to come on sets, I used to get so starstruck because she was this superstar on set. I used to be a model. Hum log aise chhup chhup ke Priyanka ko dekhte they (We would try to steal peeks of her). The song reminded me of those days. That was the time I had walked the ramp for the first time.”
Later the two worked together in the film Krrish 3. However, Ranaut shot to headlines after she called Priyanka “Secular puppy” for her political views didn’t match hers. Kangana took it to her Instagram handle, she said, “The way Priyanka Chopra has gone from being a nationalist to secular puppy. From being Modi ji’s biggest fan to his passionate critic and hater is evident. Basically, roti ke liye duniya nachati hai. Apne desh mein freedom toh hai. Jo karna hai karo (People dance for a meal. We have freedom in our country, do what you want).”
But then before she criticised Priyanka for her political views, she spoke to ETimes saying, “I felt like she is a friend, who shared food with me and asked me questions like ‘how do I look?, is this ok? how this dress is looking?’ So I didn’t feel like she is my senior and she is such a big star. It was a nice feeling that she has that ability, it’s wonderful.” As quoted by HT.
