The ongoing global pandemic caused movie filming to come to a standstill including ‘Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ of the Marvel universe. Similarly even DC’s ‘The Batman’ was delayed. As soon as DC dropped the trailer for Robert Pattinson starrer ‘The Batman’, the internet nearly broke down as fans couldn’t be any happier about the news since they finally got a trailer after a long delay that was caused due to the pandemic. However, their happiness was short-lived when it was announced that the movie’s release will be delayed further.

According to the cinema blend reports, Robert Pattinson’s stunt double for ‘The Batman’ was tested positive for COVID-19 and this led to the halt in filming. And soon the stuntman and his team were isolated for a duration of 10 days. Although they have been isolated and regular testing for COVID is done, it is a setback to the movie causing a further delay in its release. DC movies are large-scale commercial movies and pre-corona too it was difficult to complete the shooting on time.

But with the current COVID threat lingering on our heads, it’s proving to be more difficult for ‘The Batman’ team to complete and wrap up the schedule due to these setbacks. Earlier, Robert Pattinson also has tested positive for COVID- 19 and that too brought the shooting to a halt. The filming began in January 2020 and looks like the movie is having an unusually long schedule for its filming due to the pandemic. However, according to the Sun’s reports, the film is still on its wrap-up schedule and is set to release on March 4, 2022. Well, that’s some good news for the fans!
