The Maldives has literally become a second home for many Indians as it witnessed a spike in Indians traveling to the country for a splendid vacation. Many Bollywood stars like Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt, Disha Patani, Shraddha Kapoor, and several others fled to the island nation for a relaxing vacation and were seen posting exotic pictures of themselves from the trip.
However, they faced a huge backlash from netizens for vacaying during such a critical time. Not just Netizens, the Sacred Games fame Nawazuddin Siddiqui too lashed out at the celebrities for going on a vacay during the time of health crisis in the nation. As per the DNA reports, in an interview, Nawazuddin Siddiqui called out these celebrities for such insensitive behavior when the entire country is severely hit with the second wave of the evil virus.
The actor stated ‘‘These entertainment celebrities are posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. …Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho. Kuch toh sharm karo.” The actor also stated to SpotboyE that going on holiday is not so wrong as showing off about it. The actor also requested the celebrities that at least for the sake of humanity, keep these vacations to themselves. He further added ‘’Have a heart. Please don’t taunt those who are suffering.”
