The daughter of ayoo actor Shakti Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor is a blend of Punjabi with Maharashtrian upbringing. She stepped into B-town with her debut in Teen Patti and later a lead role for Luv Ka The End. She amazed everyone with her role for the musical movie Aashiqui 2, this was the film that gave her true limelight.
For this movie she was also nominated for Filmfare awards for the Best Actress. Also, her other roles besides this were for Haider, Ek Villain, ABCD2 and Baaghi.
