Gangubai Kathiawadi is currently making hurls of late. The film is all set to get released on 25th Feb 2022. Alia Bhatt has been extremely busy with the promotion of the film. However, not just Alia Bhatt, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari and others in supporting roles.
However, while many of you might think that it was Shantanu Maheshwari and Alia Bhatt’s first-ever onscreen collaboration, it isn’t the case. The duo met on the sets of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 9, a reality dance show where television celebs used to perform, and Shantanu was one of the star performers in the show. The actor shot to fame with his acting chops in the show Dil Dosti Dance and is a trained dancer.
And in one such episode, Alia Bhatt, the star actress came to the show as a guest judge, who was all praise for Shantanu, her now co-star from Gangubai Kathiawadi. After Shantanu’s work, Alia Bhatt praised the actor and said, “Shantanu, I know people call you cutie. But I want to say you are also a hottie.”
She further said, “Your dance was so good. I just want to say – when you bent down backwards completely and then you came up – when we people shoot, a harness is used to make it possible. I have seen people do it on wires but you have done it just by yourself. Outstanding yaar.”
To this, the audience cheered for the dancer-turned actor, while Shantanu said, “Thank you” to Alia Bhatt.
