1. Fandry:

It is a must-watch love story released in 2014. It is about a young Dalit boy who falls for his classmate that hails from the upper caste. 2. Sairat:

This 2016 movie is a big hit and classic in itself. The film is about two college friends who come from different castes and fall in love with each other and the conflict between their families. It was directed by ace director Nagraj Manjule and the cast of this movie is truly exceptional. Despite the movie’s budget being 4 crores, the total box office collection was 110 crores. Sairat is the Highest grossing Marathi film to date. It has an IMDB rating of 8.3/10.

3. Duniyadari:

This movie was inspired by a book named Duniyadari and was released in 2013. The movie is all about college days and romance. Swwapnil Joshi and Urmila Kanitkar are among the lead roles in this film. In the movie, the character Shreyas is not on good terms with his parents and tries to impress Shirin to fix his love life. It has an IMDB rating of 7.4/10.

4. Natsamrat:

This is an iconic Marathi movie and indeed a must-watch. The movie talks about a man who retires from his acting career and how his life is falling apart. When he distributes his property amongst his children, the man and his wife are thrown out of his house and are left homeless. The dialogue delivery by legendary Nana Patekar and his acting skills are something to die for!

5. Timepass:

Timepass is a classic Marathi movie directed by Ravi Jadhav. The storyline is about two teenagers and their iconic love story. The young mischievous boy falls in love with a girl who belongs to a conservative family. It is definitely worth a watch. It has an IMDB rating of 7.5/10.
