Whether we’re talking about Deepika Padukone as Meenamma or Alia Bhatt as Ananya, the divas expertly filled the part of a South Indian character. Because of the craze, the film directed by Rohit Shetty made Rs—one hundred crores in just one week after its premiere. Deepika Padukone’s performance as Meenamma was the film’s high point, whether in her speech, monologues, or acting. Her portrayal of the character and the cadence of the humour was perfect. Meenamma likely enjoys a rent-free existence in our minds.
