Known for some impeccable onscreen presence in films like Haseen Dilruba, series like Mirzapur, Vikrant Massey has truly thrived a long way in the industry. Starting it from tv shows to big screens, Massey’s acting chops have garnered immense love for the movie buffs, and his work, therefore. Of now, the actor is all set and busy with back-to-back projects and is currently shooting for Gaslight along with Sara Ali Khan.
Speaking to India Today, Vikrant Massey confirmed shooting for Gaslight along with Sara Ali Khan and praised the Atrangi Re actress, saying, “We’ve just started shooting. It’s been wonderful so far. We are in Gujarat. It’s another film where I am tapped into something new. It’s a very interesting part. I am collaborating with Sara [Ali Khan] and Chitrangda [Singh]. I am really excited. These guys are such wonderful people. Sara especially, she is full of energy, wonderful. Her outlook towards her work, the way she sees the world, is so refreshing.”
Vikrant also said, “Collaborating with Pawan [director Pawan Kripalani] was a long-standing thing. We were to collaborate on Bhoot Police but things kept being pushed. Finally, we managed to do it and we are very happy.”
The actor added on his feelings as he met Bobby Deol for Love Hostel, saying, “It was fantastic, it was a fanboy moment. Pehle baar jab pata chala sir kar rahe hai film, we were really excited because Class of 83 tabhi aayi thi and it did really well. For me, working with someone you’ve seen as a child, whose films you’ve watched, getting an opportunity to collaborate with him, is great. He is such a kind-hearted man. When Sanya [Malhotra] and I met him for the first time, we said, “Sir, hamein vishwaas nahi ho raha hain ki hum aapke saamne khade hain kyuki bachchan mein hamare gharwalon ne hamein aapke filmon ke gaano pe bohot nachaya hain (We can’t believe we are standing in front of you because during our childhood, our family made us dance to your songs)!” Though I wish I had more screen time with him, I hope somewhere down the line I get a chance to work with him again.”
