In recent years, Carnatic music has gained tremendous popularity not only in India but across the world, especially in the USA. Adarsh Iyengar is one individual who has been an extremely important driving force in the growing popularity of this genre.
Adarsh is a non-residential Indian and currently resides in Arkansas and was born on the 13th of September 1987 in the wonderful city of Shimoga. Professionally, Adarsh is an IT program manager for a leading fortune company but has been practicing music since he was very young because of his deeply embedded roots in Carnatic music. As he grew, Adarsh’s talent as a musician started blossoming and went on to newer heights.
The musician has his own YouTube channel where he performs covers of popular songs also plans to release his independent productions. His next big project is the Kannada version of ‘Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua’ from Rehna Hai Tere Dil Me. This version will have Adarsh’s own unique twist to it and he himself has written the lyrics for it. Those who are curious can check out and subscribe to his YouTube channel ‘AdarshIyengarMusical’.
Back when he lived in India, Adarsh did live shows in Davengere, Mysore, Shimoga and Bengaluru. When he moved to the United States, he continued doing live shows and has performed at esteemed stages like the prestigious AKKA convention.
He also participated in local competitions across Karnataka and has also been a part of various reality shows like “Idea star singer 2” and ZEE Kannada’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – North America.
His list of achievements doesn’t end there, the musician also served as the cultural director for the “Richmond Kannada Sangha from 2016 to 2018 and is now an active member of the NWA Kannada Sangha in Bentonville.
For Adarsh, this is just the beginning and he says that there is a lot more in the works. Needless to say, we certainly are looking forward to this musical talent!
