Amit Trivedi Is Gem For The Music Industry: Check Out These 3 Albums That Proved His Sublime Talent

In 3 Songs, Amit Trivedi Is Introduced

Amit Trivedi, an Indian composer, has scored qawwali-style songs, folk-fusion, beautiful love ballads, quick rock numbers, and cheesy experimental compositions, demonstrating his original vision and adaptability. Trivedi is a trailblazer and a guy of few words, whose music has captured our hearts and who has been labeled the “new A R Rahman” by many.

1. Ha Raham – Mehfuz

Aamir Khan introduced Amit Trivedi to Bollywood (2008). The perfect, straightforward, and varied blend of tracks on the CD got wonderful reviews. The Khusro-inspired Sufi song ‘Ha Raham (Mehfuz)’ is a smash, and Neuman Pinto’s ‘Phas Gaya (Never Mind)’ has jazz and smart lyrics.

2. Pardesi

Trivedi’s musical career began at Rizvi College in Mumbai when he was a member of the OM fusion band. He went on to compose music for commercials, TV shows, Dandiya-Rass, and theater. Shilpa Rao, a playback vocalist, later introduced him to Anurag Kashyap. Amit Trivedi eventually made his mark on the Bollywood music landscape with Dev.D (2009), which included a superb 18-song soundtrack.

3. Iktara

Dev.D was scheduled to be Amit Trivedi’s maiden release but because the film ran into significant production delays, Aamir finally got his first Bollywood release. In the 55th Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent, he won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for Dev.D. Amit went on to write the background score for the film Wake Up Sid (2009), as well as a song called ‘Iktara,’ which has magnificent vocals by Kavita Seth and Amitabh Bhattacharya.
