Born Pranpriya Manobal on March 27, 1997, in Buriram Province, Thailand, she subsequently officially changed her name to Lalisa, which means “the one who is praised,” on the suggestion of a fortune teller to bring in riches. She was reared as an only child by her Thai mother and Swiss stepfather. Chitthip Brüschweiler is Lisa’s mother’s name. Her stepfather is Marco Brüschweiler, a well-known chef who is presently based in Thailand. Lisa attended Praphamontree School I and II for her secondary studies.

It was recently discovered that BLACKPINK’s Lisa had smashed her own group’s first-week album sales record with her debut solo album, LALISA. According to Hanteo Charts, she has also surpassed all previous records for Korean Female Artists’ first-week sales.

On September 17, 2021, it was revealed that she had sold a total of 736,221 records during the first week of sales, which ran from September 10 to September 16, 2021. BLACKPINK’s debut full-length album, THE ALBUM, held the previous record for most albums sold by female K-Pop acts in the first week, with 690,000.

Due to administrative regulations about time, these figures do not reflect sales from a section of America and Europe. These guidelines are applicable to all artists.

BLACKPINK’s THE ALBUM has also sold over 1 million copies in total beyond the first week of sales, making them the first K-pop female group to do so. Fans are also looking forward to Lisa’s results for “LALISA.”
