The Walt Disney Company APAC (Asia-Pacific Region) announced on Monday that it had reached an agreement with BTS’ agency, HYBE, to showcase the top talent in the Korean entertainment sector. Five HYBE-produced programs are part of the multi-year agreement. Disney’s streaming services will also include content related to BTS, including exclusive documentary series, their concert, and more.

The documentary series on BTS members, titled “BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star,” is believed to cover the group’s history, starting with their 2013 debut. BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star will highlight “the daily lives, ideas, and plans” of the group’s members “as they prepare for their second chapter,” according to a statement from Disney regarding the documentary, which will be exclusively released in 2023. Disney will introduce new artists from HYBE in the coming years. BTS is taking a break at the moment. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook explained why they needed a break during their Festa meal in June.

The members of the group are currently “exhausted,” according to RM, who admitted that he enjoyed being in BTS but doesn’t “know what type of group we were in anymore.” In order to “discover our identity, which is an intensive and long process,” the group has been going through a “difficult patch,” Jimin said. Now, their primary focus is on single careers.
