British pop queen Dua Lipa rocked the stage and brough the curtains down on the Rock in Rio music festival after 250 concerts in seven days. On the closing night, the stage was exclusively reserved for women performers.
This year, the seventh day of the ninth ‘Rock in Rio’ festival was aimed at empowering women artists. Along with Dua Lipa, the event showed fabulous female artists such as Britain’s Rita Ora as well as Megan Thee Stallion and Macy Gray from the United States and local sensations Ivete Sangalo and Ludmilla.
At the ‘Rock In Rio’, Dua Lipa performed a modified version of her “Future Nostalgia tour”, the motive was to promote her legendary album released in 2020, apart from her initial hits such as “New Rules” and “Cold Heart”.
Around 100,000 fans turned up at the event for the last act of the festival – which will now return in 2024 – and many of them grooved along with Dua Lipa on her catchy songs.
On stage, Dua Lipa continued with “Cool” in a way that covered the best elements of pop from the past 50 years and repackaged the new generations. Dua Lipa’s voice and her slender figure, along with her dances, absolutely buzz-worthy.
Many fanpages on social media added clips of her performance, including her Number One Fan- Her Father- Dukagjin Lipa. The celeb-dad shared clips from the concert and applauded his daughter.
