Ariana Grande-Butera was born in Boca Raton, Florida. Her Father is Joan Grande, the CEO of Hose-McCann Communications, a developer of communications and safety equipment, and Edward Butera, Ariana’s mother is an owner of a graphic design firm in Boca Raton. Grande is of Italian descent and she considers herself as an Italian American of “half Sicilian and half Abruzzese” descent. She has an older half-brother, Frankie Grande, who is a producer and an entertainer. She shares a close relationship with her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Grande. At the very young age of 13, she thought about getting into the field of music, although she still remained inclined to the theater. When she first visited Los Angeles, California for a meeting with her managers, she said she wanted to record an R&B album.
