For consecutive 5 years, he won the Filmfare award for Best Male Singer from 1990 to 1994, in movies: Saajan (1991), Deewana (1992), Baazigar (1993) and 1942: A Love Story (1994). Not just that he also was awarded for 5 consecutive years at Filmfare, he has a number of hit tracks to his credit.
