Arijit Singh’s dad is a Punjabi and his mom is of Bengali descent. His mother’s side lineage was invariably into songs and therefore, his childhood ambition was to evolve as a vocalist.

He was equipped under the Hazari siblings at the age of 3. He received a scholarship from the parliament for disciplining in songs in classical melody at the age of 9.

His involvement in the song accumulated because of his mom who vocalized and played the tabla instrument.

At the age of 18, he partook in a reality exhibit Fame Gurukul in 2005.

During the exhibit, Sanjay Leela Bhansali complimented his ability and asked him to vocalize ‘Yun Shabnami’ from Saawariya. Unluckily, during the creation, the script transformed and his music was never broadcasted.

His initial music was “All for one” from “High School Musical 2” and it was organized by Shankar Ehsaan Loy.

He also vocalized for TV exhibits songs like – “Hum Hai Deewane” Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and “Dadagiri” starring Sourav Ganguly.

Arijit’s most loved and idol vocalists are Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh, and Mehdi Hasan.

Apart from the song, he loves photography, bicycling, and Bengali books.

Arijit is also a badminton partaker, author, film enthusiast, and documentary producer.

Arijit Singh has made impressions with extended hair and beard. When interviewed about his looks, he inferred that he doesn’t obtain time to chop his hair or trim in Mumbai.

The song “Tum Hi Ho” from the film Aashiqui 2 was a breakthrough for the vocalist in the Bollywood enterprise.

Arijit Singh inhabits an NGO called “Let There Be Light” which assists the “Below Poverty Line” (BPL) population. It strives to encompass camps and movements like blood bank camps, providing clothes to the needy, school books, and more for the poor children.
