One of the most well-known names in Bollywood was Bappi Lahiri or Alokesh Lahiri. The music director’s untimely passing notwithstanding, his work endures indefinitely and serves as a brilliant example of our cinema business in several ways.

The actor was raised in a household and family that was well-versed in Shyama Sangeet and classical music when he was born in Calcutta, West Bengal. So it’s not shocking that he started studying the tabla at the age of 3 and got his start in acting at the age of 19!

The singer and musician was a Disco genre innovator, particularly in the 1980s. His career began by writing the music for the 1973 Hindi film Nanha Shikari, and it ultimately took off with Tahir Husain’s Zakhmee (1975).

1.Tamma Tamma Loge-Thanedaar (1990)
When one of your songs is being recreated and you are both able to watch and participate in the process, you know your work is legendary. While Varun Dhawan and Sanjay Dutt appear in the remake of Tamma Tamma Again from Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt appear in the original music.

2.Yaar Bina Chain Kaha Re by Saaheb (1985)
You have to accept that no one ever forgets the rhythm of a Bappi da song. Yaar Bina Chain Kaha Re is also affected by this. The song, which stars Anil Kapoor and Amrita Singh, is jam-packed with disco sounds that we can’t stop thinking about.

3. Disco dancer Jimmy Jimmy Ajaa Ajaa is number three (1982)
Mithun Chakraborty’s acting career reached a new high with the release of Jimmy Jimmy Ajaa Ajaa, another fantastic disco tune. The song’s original version has remained a classic despite several remixes appearing on the scene for obvious reasons!

4.Raat Baaqi – Namak Halaal (1982)
Asha Bhosle sang the song Raat Baaqi, which had lyrics by Anjaan and music by Bappi Lahiri. It’s another one of those songs that stays in your memory for a long time after you hear it. You’ll find yourself singing it eventually since it’s catchy.

5.Chalte Chalte – Chalte Chalte (1976)
Chalte Chalte is a love song with a nostalgic tone, in contrast to the other faster-paced songs the singer has written. How many times did we hum along with our parents as they sang along to this song? too many to tally!
