BLACKPINK’s Lisa has been named to the Top 20 of the World’s Most Admired Women list by British research organization YouGov, citing another outstanding achievement of 2021. This achievement adds to the BLACKPINK member’s impressive list of accomplishments since she is the only female K-pop idol on the list.

Lisa, a Thai rapper from BLACKPINK, is one of six new women named to the World’s Most Admired list in 2021. YouGov is a global internet-based marketing and data analytics company located in the United Kingdom. The company publishes a top 20 list of the world’s most admired people every year. According to YouGov’s website, they polled “more than 42,000 respondents in 38 countries and territories” in 2021. They also made their polls public by disclosing the methodology behind them. Seven-tenths of the world’s population was polled by the company.

Lisa, the rapper from the popular girl group BLACKPINK, debuts at No. 17. The superstar just released her first solo album, LALISA, which is filled with the culture and expression of her birthplace (Thailand). Lisa garnered 1.7 per cent of the vote from those polled, putting her in the top 20.

Meanwhile, Lisa was joined on the list by American Vice President Kamala Harris (No. 11) and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern (No. 20). It’s worth mentioning that Michelle Obama (No. 01), Angelina Jolie (No. 02), Queen Elizabeth II (No. 03), Malala Yousafzai (No. 09), and Sudha Murty all made the illustrious list (No. 14)
