In a recent interview, singer Sonu Nigam explains why he has left the film profession. Sonu Nigam, formerly one of the country’s best playback singers, has stated publicly that he no longer agrees with music directors’ techniques and prefers not to participate in projects where he would basically be forced to audition.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Sonu said that he refuses to participate in a procedure in which numerous vocalists record the same song and the producers, actors, and music directors choose the ‘best’ one. This was referred to as a ‘swayamwar’ by him.

He claims he isn’t insecure and is content to work without the help of producers and music directors. His followers should be proud of him for not begging for jobs, he added. “Shubhchintak jo hain, unko pata chale ke Sonu Nigam toh bhikhaari hai, saamne raja ban ke ghoomta hai, par really peeche bhikhaari hai…”
