The K-pop industry is brimming with talent and skills. But not all of these talented idols are originally from South Korea! Here are 10 Non-Korean idols.
1) Momo:
Momo from TWICE is from Japan. TWICE also has Mina and Sana who are also from Japan.
2) Bang Chan:
Stray Kids leader, Bang Chan was born in Australia. He auditioned for JYP in Australia and was selected among hundreds and left for South Korea at the age of 11.
3) Lay:
EXO’s Lay has been involved in a ton of activities in China. Turns out, he is originally from China.
4) Blackpink’s Rose:
Rose spent quite a few years of her childhood in Australia, however, she was born in New Zealand.
5) Felix:
Felix is yet another Stray Kids member who was born and brought up in Sydney, Australia.
6) Henry Lau:
Henry Lau from Super Junior was born in Toronto, Canada. He was born to his Hong Kongese father and Taiwanese mother.
7) Amber:
Amber from F(x) is a Taiwanese American and was born in California.
8) Jackson Wang:
Jackson from Got7 is a Hong Kong kid. He was even a national-level fencer!
9) BamBam
Yet another member, the second youngest, of Got7 is originally from Thailand.
10) Lisa:
Blackpink’s Lisa is actually from Thailand. She was the only person who was selected in the YG Entertainment audition rounds that took place in Thailand back in 2010.
