Though she was born and raised in Michigan, in 1978 she moved to New York to pursue a career in modern dance. Her debut album Madonna was released in 1983. Meanwhile, she has acted in many movies like Desperately Seeking Susan, Dick Tracy, A League Of Their Own, and Evita. After doing all these movies, her popularity was enhanced.
