Reportedly, in a statement by her team, they revealed that she passed away after battling illness on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. She was 80 years old at the time of her demise. Following the sad news, Bollywood actresses Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra paid their heartfelt tributes to the American musician.
Taking to her Instagram, Kareena shared a series of stories featuring iconic quotes by the legendary musician Dolly with the actress’s reaction. The first poster reads a quote, “Make a list of the things you love about yourself. Now, it can be big or small. Like, I cook a mean chicken pot pie. Or, I’m a great mom! And if you tell yourself enough nice things, eventually, you’ll believe them. DOLLY PARTON.” After which, paying her tribute, Kareena wrote above the quote, “My Girl, Love you forever You Diva.”
