The singer admits that the first step toward reclaiming normalcy is difficult, but that it is necessary. Nautiyal will perform in Hyderabad later this month before heading to Dubai in October to plug in the musical chord. In December, he also plans to perform live in London.

“To begin with, he was hesitant (about performing live again). But now that he has learned the principles, he is feeling more confident and know that everything is in order. They (the organisers) have reserved a larger venue in order to maintain a safe distance around it. Because the last thing he want in his show is any kind of Corona spread,” Nautiyal explains.

The singer claims his live show will “see a different height” now that he’s more comfortable on stage.

“Going to an international venue after the pandemic struck us is incredibly special,” the 32-year-old adds. “In fact, the fact that we’re returning to the stage makes it extraordinary in its own right. Artists are the ones who first convey to the audience that things are beginning to return to normal. So, we believe it is time for us to take a risk. We’ve done a good job fighting the pandemic, and now it’s time to get back to normal as a community.”

The musician, who has provided his voice to songs like The Humma Song (OK Jaanu, 2017), Tum Hi Aana (Mar Javaan, 2019), Raatan Lamiyan (Shershaah), and Hanjugam (Bhuj: The Pride of India), is optimistic about the positive changes that will result from societal segregation and audience restrictions.

“People who previously avoided attending a packed event will now do so in order to enjoy the show. Hindustan mein bahut se log hain jo concert dekhne nahi jaate. Now, rather than standing, shouting, and jumping, he believe it will become more of a personalized experience of listening to music,” adds Nautiyal, who is working hard to give his next gigs a “proper progressive rock concert” vibe.
