Bollywood’s legendary singer Asha Bhosle, celebrated as one of the beloved vocalists of Indian music, has passed away. The singer was 92 years old at the time of her demise. As per the reports, the veteran singer was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on Saturday evening following experiencing cardiac and respiratory difficulties.
Also, the reports suggested that the Dum Maro Dum singer was unwell for the past few months and was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition, and was admitted to the ICU last night. It was Asha Bhosle’s son, Anand, who confirmed these reports on Sunday, April 12. The reports also say that the singer’s last rites will take place tomorrow, i.e., Monday, April 13, 2026.
With Asha Ji’s passing, the music industry has lost one of its legendary gems, and it is indeed the end of an era. The singer gave several hit songs that people tune in to even in 2026. Asha ji gave hits like Sharara, Dum Maro Dum, Radha Kaise Na Jale, Ye Parda Hata Do, and many more.
Asha was the younger sister of the late singer Lata Mangeshkar, and she made her singing debut at the age of 9. Later, she recorded her first film song in 1943 and soon carved a niche for herself in Bollywood. Asha Ji’s passing has left a void in the music world that can never be filled.
