A really sad and heartbreaking news coming in from the Kannada regional music industry ladies and gentlemen.
As per the latest media reports in the Deccan Herald, National award-winning singer Shivamogga Subbanna passed away following a massive heart attack at a hospital in Bengaluru. He was reportedly admitted to Jayadeva hospital where he passed away. He was 83 when he breathed his last. He is survived by a son and a daughter. For the unversed, Subbanna was the first playback singer from Kannada music industry to win a National award for his song aka Kaadu Kudure Odi Banditta in the film ‘Kaadu Kudure’. He has also served as a singer with Akashvani and Doordarshan and had also worked as an advocate during his lifetime.
