RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ Singer Rahul Sipligunj Lands In Legal Trouble—Here’s What Happened
Singer Rahul Sipligunj has landed in legal trouble as a woman has filed a complaint against him and others.
Singer Rahul Sipligunj, who is known for the song Naatu Naatu alongside Kaala Bhairava, the hit track from the film RRR, has now landed in legal trouble. According to reports, a woman approached the police in Visakhapatnam with a complaint against the singer and others involved in the matter.
Reportedly, an FIR has been lodged at the MVP Police Station, naming Rahul and 11 people in the case. As per the complainant, the woman was threatened and harassed in connection with a marriage dispute.
As per the woman, the person named Karpurapu Rahul Reddy cheated her on the pretext of marriage, forced a pregnancy termination, and blackmailed her with private media.
The complainant also accused the singer Sipligunj of threatening her and forced into making a statement who is reportedly the brother-in-law of the main accused.
Not just that, the complainant has also accused of blackmailing her, circulating her personal photos and videos, mentioning that these actions affected her mental health and privacy.
Under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the police have registered the case under various provisions with relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.
At present, the matter has not been produced before the court, and so these allegations are yet to be proven and were only made by the complainant. The case has since been transferred to the Endada Women Police Station, and the police are investigating the matter.
Rahul Sipligunj is a well-known name in the Telugu entertainment world. Apart from singing, he won Bigg Boss Telugu 3 and gained major fame after singing Naatu Naatu from RRR along with Kaala Bhairava. The song won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
