Sonu Kakkar began her career as a reality show contestant on television before going on to perform hits such as ‘London Thumakda’ (‘Queen’), ‘Ooh La L’a’ (‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’), and others. In an interview with the Times of India, she discussed her more well-known siblings, Neha and Tony Kakkar, the Bollywood music industry, if the skill is all that is required to thrive, and more.

Sonu said: “It occurs to everyone. That does not bother me in the least. I don’t even feel like I’m being held back. Everyone who works hard achieves success. It occurred to me, too. I’ve seen and experienced the highs and lows. Every day, I feel accomplished because I am really pleased. For me, pleasure is the definition of success. Nothing can make you feel successful if you are unhappy. I strive to find joy in the little things. For example, I am ecstatic merely to be watching something on OTT platforms or eating my favorite food. I’m happiest when I’m doing small things. With all that is going on with Tony and Neha, I feel quite optimistic. I am quite proud of them and have never felt marginalized in any way.”

She said: “I believe that skill is the most significant factor. It is impossible to survive in the long run if the skill is mediocre. So, in the end, talent is crucial. But it’s not only about skill; it’s also about luck, and not just in the music industry. Destiny is equally significant, and they both work together for our benefit.”
