Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moosewala’s third song ‘Mera Na’, was released today a month ahead of his first death anniversary. The song was dropped Friday and crossed one million views on YouTube within the first 15 minutes.

As per reports in the media, featuring international stars Burna Boy and Steel Banglez, the song’s release has been much-awaited since Moosewala’s parents met Nigerian singer Burna Boy in November last year during their UK visit.

The video of the latest song features a flag with the words ‘Justice for Sidhu Moosewala’. It also has the rapper’s typical signature in which he sings about himself. A month after his death, “SYL” was released on Moosewala’s YouTube channel. The track, which touched upon the contentious issue of Sutlej Yamuna Link canal between Punjab and Haryana, was later blocked by the video-sharing platform.

Another song “Vaar” was released in November. Sung and composed by Moosewala, it lauded the valour of legendary Sikh warrior Hari Singh Nalwa. Sidhu Moosewala was murdered on May 29 last year following which his parents have been running a campaign seeking justice for the singer-songwriter.
