Cricketer Abhishek Sharma, who, with his performance on the field, received praise and became the talk of the town. However, his recent Zimbabwe tour turned out to be the opposite for him. The 25-year-old player struggled to perform, scoring just 11 runs in three matches, with his highest score being 8 runs. India still won the series 3-0 over Zimbabwe, but Abhishek’s disappointing play raised eyebrows. Acknowledging his disappointing gameplay in the Zimbabwe tour, the cricketer expressed feeling hurt, while fellow cricketer Suryakumar Yadav gave him the most valuable advice.
On his Instagram handle, Abhishek shared photos of himself and the team from the Zimbabwe tour and, in the caption, expressed his disappointment with a promise to come back stronger. He said, “It hurts when you can’t give back what so many people believe you’re capable of. But this game always rewards those who keep showing up. Happy that the team got the win. Will be back stronger 🇮🇳.”

Replying to Abhishek’s guilt-consumed post, fellow cricketer Suryakumar Yadav gave the most valuable guidance in the comments, encouraging him to believe in himself. He said, “You have given so many reasons to smile for 2 years in a row, boyyyy. Given glory to INDIA when it mattered the most. Matter of time. Be yourself #fearless.”
India’s upcoming T20I assignment is likely to be the Asian Games, and the squad includes the trio of Abhishek, Samson, and Sooryavanshi.
