Some lovely news coming in for all fans of Indian boxing. Yesterday, we celebrated Pooja Rani’s gold moment along with Mary Kom’s silver from the women’s category.
And now, the men have given us a reason to celebrate as well. Indian heavyweight boxer Sanjeet defeated Olympic silver-medallist Vassiliy Levit in the 91kg final to clinch a gold medal at the Asian Boxing Championships in Dubai. Amit Panghal (52kg) and Shiva Thapa (64kg) lost their respective bouts on split decisions but still managed to bring home silver medals for the country.
