The Commonwealth Games 2022 is currently in full swing and the some of the best athletes from all over the globe are sweating it out in the United Kingdom to emerge as champions. As far as the Indian contingent is concerned, we have so far had a fantastic time with multiple medals. Although majority of the medals this year have come in weightlifting and powerlifting, we now have an exciting update for all Table Tennis lovers as well.

The exciting duo of Sharath Kamal and Sreeja Akula made India proud at Birmingham by clinching gold medal in mixed doubles of Table Tennis. Barring a blip in the second game, the duo easily managed to beat their Malaysian counterparts aka Javen Choong and Karen Lyne 11-4, 9-11, 11-5, 11-6 in the gold medal contest.
