The Commonwealth Games has always been a top platform when it comes to getting an idea of where Indian sports stand at the global stage. This year, we have a lot of competitors from India who are all set to give their best shot in the tournament.

In the 55kg Men’s Weightlifting battle, India’s Sanket Sargar opens India’s account with a silver medal win. He missed it by only a little margin as Mohamad Kasadan lifts 142 kg to get the gold. On the other hand, Gururaja finished with a best Snatch of 118 kg. For the unversed, he started off with 115 kg post which, he got 118 kg in the second attempt. However, he failed to lift 120 kg in the third attempt. As far as badminton and shuttling is concerned, the Indian shuttlers put forward another splendid show to outclass Sri Lanka 5-0 in their second group A match of the mixed team competition at the 22nd Commonwealth Games. India were undoubtedly the better team on display as they completely dominated the proceedings at the Arena Birmingham.

We at IWMBuzz wish our Indian players all the best for the games ahead. Let us know your views in the comments section below and for more updates, stay tuned to IWMBuzz.com
