IPL Auction 2026: Full List of Sold and Unsold Players as Big Money, Young Talent, and Surprise Picks Steal the Show

From massive overseas signings to uncapped Indian youngsters earning huge contracts, the auction once again proved why it is one of the most-watched events in world cricket.

While big international names dominated the headlines, uncapped Indian players were the real surprise package of the auction. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) showed great faith in young talent by signing Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma for Rs 14.20 crore each. Prashant, a 20-year-old left-arm spinner from Uttar Pradesh, and Kartik, a 19-year-old wicketkeeper-batter from Rajasthan, both are worth Rs 30 lakh. Their massive deals made them the most expensive uncapped players in IPL auction history.

Another standout moment was the rise of Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi Dar, whom the Delhi Capitals bought for Rs 8.40 crore. His signing underlined the growing focus on domestic talent from emerging cricket regions.

The auction also brought a few surprises, as known Indian batters Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan went unsold initially. Sarfaraz was later picked by CSK for Rs 75 lakh in the accelerated round, while Shaw found a buyer in Delhi Capitals, who signed him for Rs 75 lakh as well.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru added Indian all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer to their squad for Rs 7 crore, after KKR chose to step back from the bidding.
